The village of Pipli, situated between Puri and Bhubaneswar, is famous for commendable work. It is a product that has received Geographical Indication (GI) by the Government of India. The use of all these products is associated with the religious rituals of Lord Jagannath. So it can be concluded that this art form explains its origin for Jagannath Panth. Applique design elements are individually hand-stitched felt. Nowadays its use is more in domestic, decorative and festival products. Pipli items are mainly used during the rituals of the deities.
